The Western Door

A couple of friends treated me to dinner a few weeks ago. We went to the Western Door, located in the NF, NY Seneca Niagara Casino. I had the Steak Oscar. It was so tender with a most satisfying flavor. The atmosphere was very relaxing.

I had the prime rib, my wife had the filet and we split a sweet potato, asparagus and scallops. I only have a picture of the desert because I could not stop myself from digging into the entrees.Hands down the best beef we've ever had. Perfectly prepared and stunningly delicious.The service was second to none, as well. I've never felt more welcomed when I sat down to eat.

The Western Door is an exceptional steak and seafood choice for those looking for attention to detail and we'll prepared dishes. The steaks are excellent, as is the service and libations. Although it appears others have had a bad experience, I also have numerous friends who have been here, and have nothing but excellent reviews as well. Frank the bartender is a gentleman and great mixologist, if he's still there, request him as your bartender

Very good food and service. A little pricey but, worth it

A real fantastic and fabulous Steak House!Lofty style and atmosphere with very kind, attentive, advertent, professional and excellent service.I got a really awesome gorgeous, mesmerizing, delicious, tasty Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium-well, and it was done, unless to say it was "designed" to the point of perfection.... in my humble opinion.It was the best steak that I had in my 49 years overall life time! I enjoyed every bite and ate it with relish.The oysters and the choice of wines are also great and overwhelming!It was an unforgettable evening and event.Below the steak house is an amusement hall with a lot of shining and luminous slot machines: a real fascinating & captivating view.To visit this steak house is highly recommendable, you will not rue/regret it.For taking dinner it's also recommended to make a reservation.

Loved it! Food was amazing. Staff was just as amazing. Filet mignon melted in my mouth like butter. DUHLICOUS!

I came here twice for dinner in the past few months. The first time, they kept me waiting for about an hour for a table, when they had said it would be 45 minutes. I had to go back and inquire, at which time I was suspiciously seated immediately.The food was good but overpriced. Personally I would never pay out of pocket for a meal here. I would have been quite upset, had I not had comps to cover this meal. The service on my 2nd visit was also not the most attentive.

The food here is absolutely amazing, the service is incredible and the restaurant is beautiful. The menu lists plenty of great options, the restaurant seems very clean and well-kept, the staff are extremely friendly, and I'd absolutely return and recommend it.

We had an excellent time! We came to celebrate our anniversary. Our wait staff was great, even put up with us thinking our beignets were under cooked. We order the experience for two, which includes a bottle of wine, apps, entree with a side and dessert. The wait staff brought my fiance some tastings of the wine to make sure she liked it. Our steaks melted in our mouths, we also got the baked potato and asparagus which was enough to share (the baked potato was huge!). Plenty of time to enjoy ourselves in between the apps and entrees and desserts. Definitely will return.My only issue is that we had to walk everywhere in the casino to find the place, there were literally no signs pointing to where the restaurant was as we walked in from 3rd Street at Sheraton Niagara Falls.

This was my first time here 5/18/19 and ordered a 12oz filet med well, it came out burnt beyond recognition. Nice clean place but i didn’t come to eat coal.

1st time here. Really expensive but cozy, a once a year visit is what I can afford. Great service, but know this it is a la cart.(meaning everything comes separate not as a set meal).I had a berry cocktail, foie gras, wagyu filet and asparagus. My husband had moscow mule, lobster bisque, bone-in rib eye and potato wedges; we shared 1lbs king crab. Our bill was just over $300 with tip. We both brought leftovers home. It was good but not over the top fabulous for that price. Would I go again? Probably, now that I know more about it.

I have been to the Western Door 4 times now in the last 2 years. I have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, the staff are all great and very accommodating. We realized after our first visit that the portions are way more than one person can handle so we now share meals. I was there this past weekend with 4 other ladies. We ordered 1 prime rib, 1 salmon and a few sides. We asked that they bring us 5 plates and serve the food as a family style and they did just that. We still had leftovers and our bill was less than $150.00 including drinks. I highly recommend the Western Door and I will return again when I visit the Seneca Casino. Took my mum here for the first time. The 3 of us absolutely loved the game atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible and the drinks were very tasty. Our server was friendly and made the experience that much better. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Buffalo.

Appetizers, sides, and steaks are excellent and cooked to perfection. Desserts are pretty but weLL below what you'd expect for the price. My dessert had a heaping ring of "cool whip" instead of real whip cream. Wine list satisfactory. Service is friendly but lacking for the price.
